Variants like cocoa liquor, cocoa cake, cocoa butter, and cocoa powder find markets globally, with cocoa butter being a primary export to nations like the United States, the Netherlands, and China. Indonesia ranks sixth globally in cocoa bean production, with 220 thousand tons in 2018-2019.
The country’s cocoa processing industry emphasizes high-quality products for taste, aroma, and health benefits. Mondelez International’s Executive VP sees sustainable cocoa supply as vital for long-term growth in Asia and beyond.
